XKCD and A Couple of Things

by Elisa

Greetings all. First of all, I’m sure that some of you have been noticing a bit of variation from the usual posting time from The Book Stacks. I would like to apologize for this. Apparently our ability to “post ahead” has gone a bit wonky. I’m told that the folks over at 451 Press HQ are working on it, so hopefully it will be resolved soon. I am especially hopeful that all will be well, as I am going to be on vacation next week. Yep. My first proper vacation away from the computer since I started working on this blog last October. So, my usual features will be suspended for a week, and you can expect to encounter some fabulous guest posters. I hope that you will enjoy this change of pace. I also hope that you will forgive any posting wonkiness (yes, this is my new technical term) while I am gone.

Anyway, here are a couple of reminders. The current A Book By Any Other Name challenge is still going on. You have one more day to get the number of titles over 110. This challenge will continue in a week if the goal is not reached this time around. Also, I am still interested in discovering your Favorite Reading Spot. Is it your couch (like mine) or a shady spot in your yard? Comment or e-mail me (using the “contact me” link) and your reading spot can be featured in a future edition of “Favorite Reading Spots.”

And finally, I offer you an xkcd comic…which should not be giving you guys any ideas. (If it is too small for you to see, just click on the image and it will take you to a larger version over on the xkcd website.)

See you in a week!

Have fun and get some well deserved rest! ;) We’ll be right here reading what the guest bloggers have to say (that’ll be cool) and waiting for your return ^^.
    Take care,
