What I Am Reading Now

by Elisa

Here is your update on the books I am currently reading. As you can see, lately I haven’t had much reading time.

Doctor Who: The Shooting Scripts - Scripts for season one of the new Doctor Who. I’m currently working on episode one.

Getting Started as a Freelance Writer by Robert W. Bly - It’s pretty much what the title says. So far, the book is pretty straightforward, and the author doesn’t sugarcoat anything.

Scaredy Squirrel by Mélanie Watts - A picture book about a neurotic squirrel. Very silly.

Million Dollar Baby by Amy Patricia Meade - The first in a new mystery series. I saw it on the new books cart at work, and I was intrigued by the description on the back. I’m halfway through chapter eight. It has gotten a bit slow.

Lulu Dark Can See Through Walls by Bennett Madison - This is also a mystery. The first two pages are hilarious and will suck you in. Luckily, book club got moved to this week. I haven’t had time to finish this one yet.

Cooking to Hook Up by Ann Marie Michaels and Drew Campbell - This is a most unusual cookbook. It takes a the idea of cooking to impress to a new level. I’m thinking that it would work.

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story by Nobuhiro Watsuki - I’m on book seven now, and I’m getting slightly worried. (There are twenty-eight in this series of manga).

So, there you go. These are the books I am working on now.

The NEW Dr. Who? *faints* Hehe.

Let me know how the Freelance Writing book goes. There are so many of the “How to be/do” books that the selection can be a bit intimidating.

  2. Elisa Says:

As opposed to classic Who, yeah. :p
And the freelance book *is* a bit intimidating, but at least i already know that I can work after I come home from work. I do that now.

  3. Keith Says:

Lol, spending too much time blogging rather than reading?

  4. Elisa Says:

Sad but true, Keith. Sad but true.

  5. DaveP Says:

How many books on the go at once?!?!
I think my maximum is about 3 :S
I’ve probably read more since I’ve started blogging, it’s renewed my love for the written word. Less Ps2 though :(

  6. Elisa Says:

Well, I have this habit of starting books that look interesting even if I am already reading several others. Sometimes this means I don’t finish others :(, but I’m trying to be better about that.
