Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Release Date
![]()
In case you have somehow managed to avoid the information deluge today (I swear that I received at least 3 emails on the subject), the release date for the final Harry Potter book has been revealed. July 21, 2007 is the day. You should have no trouble pre-ordering a copy, if such is your desire. I bought the last book at midnight in a grocery store, myself. I got the book before that at one of those bookstore parties. So, are you planning to pre-order, wait ’til the last minute, borrow it from a friend, or don’t care? I haven’t decided what I’m going to do this time around. I am quite excited, though. (If you would like continuing coverage of all things Harry Potter-related, I recommend Hogwarts Herald on this blog network.)

I’ll be pre-ordering, for the first time actually. The last book I bought in a supermarket about a week after release, before that, I must admit, I hadn’t read any so borrowed the books as a job lot from a friend.
I can’t wait now, and want to see if my horcrux theory is correct.

I have a horcrux theory, too!
Ack! Suspense!

I haven’t even read the last one.
I never got into them as much as others…

Jamie - that’s too bad, but if everyone liked the same books…my job would be so boring. (I’m changing jobs, BTW)

Aaaargh, where did my post go? Wahhh, it must be Voldemort!
I said something along the lines of I wonder what your horcrux theory is and whether it’s the same as mine.
Also that if it is, then maybe JK is leading us all down one way of thinking before shocking us all in book 7?!?!

Darn that Tom Riddle!!
And yeah, I’m thinking that Ms. Rowling is leading us down the garden path. I’m pretty sure that there is something about Snape’s actions that we don’t know about, for example.
And, yes, I’ll bet that we have very similar horcrux theories.
