Forfeit # 2 for A Book By Any Other Name

by Elisa

Okay, folks. My number was reached once again on A Book By Any Other Name. Sadly, I couldn’t find my Mice are Nice poems. So, here is the alternate poem that I wrote in 6th grade. If you didn’t think that last time’s poem was bad enough…well, lets just say I was a wee bit more optimistic back then. I am *so*giving you guys a bigger number next time. (mutter mutter make me post the sappy poem mutter.) You asked for it. Stand by for the sugar shock.

Beautiful Thoughts

Clouds with a golden lining,
Floating across the sky.
Birds starting to fly.
Colorful wings fill the air,
And happiness everywhere.
Rainbows, music, singing,
Bells ringing,
Joy, happiness, and love.
Green hills, blue skies,
And butterflies.
Low valleys, high mountains,
Tall trees, small bushes,
Sunset
Sunrise
Hope and giving,
Thoughts for one another,
Helping each other.
All the colors of the rainbow
Side by side,
Nothing to hide.
Open doors-
None of them closed-
And love and peace throughout the land.
Peace, joy, loving and giving.
A green and blue world,
Beauty everywhere,
And the people live in harmony.
I think it would be a better world
If all this were true.
Don’t you?

Lol, that is excellent… at making me laugh ;)

Admit it Elisa, you wrote it yesterday didn’t you?

I wish the world were this way yes, but alas it’s a bit rubbish. I actually really liked the middle bit with sunset, sunrise… I may have to steal that. The rest made me think of REM and Shiny Happy People.

I still want ‘Mice is nice’ though!

Reading is my passion so love your blog as it is about books… believe it or not every time i enter a book shop my heart literally pounds with excitement….I seriously pity people who deprive themselves of the pleasures that lie in a book…

    Hmmm…

    Interesting poem.

How high is the number gonna be next time?

    O_o

DaveP…yeah. This is why I try to avoid the forfeit. Posting these poems is embarrassing.

Welcome, Random Magus! Glad you like the blog.

    110 this time, Catslyn.
