Tuesday Teasers - My Splendid Concubine

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

(If you’re like me and can’t really make out the blog address on the graphic, don’t worry; click on the image and it will take you to where you need to go. :) )

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

# Grab your current read.
# Let the book fall open to a random page.
# Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
# You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
# Please avoid spoilers!

My 2 Teasers:

At dinner that first night, Patridge, Captain Roundtree, his officers and Robert sat at a table on the veranda while concubines served food. The first course was a delicious soup made from lily flowers, black mushrooms and sea delicacies.
