Book Review: The Work at Home Sourcebook
![]()
I’m coming out as slightly lukewarm on this one. Or, perhaps it is better to say that this is a great place to start when you are thinking about changing to a home-based job. The Work at Home Sourcebook by Lynie Arden does have all kinds of different suggestions for ways that you can work from home. Anyone using this book as a starting place for their work at home quest should first of all make sure that they have the most current edition. Much of the information provided is very specific, and as such, is likely to change from year to year. This book does have a bit of everything, but apart from a couple of greeting card companies, nothing really struck me as something I would be interested in. Good thing that I’m already blogging, eh? I’ll bet that other people find several things of interest to them, just judging by the sheer variety offered. So, as I said, a good place to start, but in general I’m not that enthusiastic about this one.

Hmmm. This interests me, although if you are lukewarm, I’m sure you are on the right track. Although, as you mentioned, Greeting Card writing might be fun!
PS Do you live near Sacramento? (As per your comment on Travis)

Actually, I live in San Mateo and I work in Vacaville. But I’m from Sacramento…
Anyway, the book is a good idea generator, it just didn’t grab me.
