Holler for Your Health is an all-in-one resource guide for everyone trying to improve their (and their families’) health through not just eating healthier but making their environment better as well.
While I’m certainly not a recent convert to the ‘big business is not taking care of your health’ world and I know quite a few of the things going on that are making people ill these days, I am still quite impressed with Ms. Holler’s book.
Holler admits the failings of Western medicine even though she is a doctor – something I never thought I would hear a Western doctor say, much less put in print. But this is an excellent way to begin the book because it puts her on more common footing with the reader.
One of the thing that impresses me most about this book – especially in comparison to the other like-minded books – is that Holler not only covers what’s going on with food. Most of us who care have been there and done that. But Holler goes further than that in exploring what’s going on with people’s water, with personal care products, vaccines, everyday items, and so on.
If you want a book that not only introduces you to the problems but also gives you guides and resources (and plenty of recommended reading!), then this is definitely the book for you. It’s easy to understand while taking you, the reader, and your health seriously.
