A Change of Pace…

by Elisa

A little change of pace this week for the Monday game. It’s fun to mix it up sometimes, yeah? Well, this week I have a new challenge for you. I am going to list all of the words that we have used so far for A Book By Any Other Name, and you get to come up with as many possible titles for books as you like made from only those words and linking words like A, An, The, And, Of, etc. The titles can be any length. You may use as many as you like. If you feel like talking about a possible plot, go right ahead. (Mind you…if you ever publish a book with a title inspired by this game…I would like to review it, so please let me know.) I’m not enforcing the duplication rule this week either, but don’t go copying each other either. Okay? Everyone sitting comfortably? Let’s get started, shall we?

The Words So Far:
Princess, Prince, Moon, Little, Dragon, Lost, Blood, Green, Summer, Good, Black, Secret, Book, Dark, City, Fire, Wind, Magic, Girl, Man, Cat, Spring, Day, Son.

My Titles:

Little Dragon Lost - A retelling of P. D. Eastman’s Are You My Mother.
The Dark Summer of Wind And Fire - An account of the worst fire season in years.
A Cat, A Girl, and a Spring Day - It was the day that Emma finally left the farm for good…

Your Turn…

Blood Spring - murder, mayhem and general horror set at or near a spring
Good day, moon - little known sequel to Margaret Wise Brown’s “Good night, moon”
Green fire - probably a dragon story (used all my creativity making up titles)
