A Book By Any Other Name…Black

by Elisa

Welcome to this week’s A Book By Any Other Name. The game works like this: Each week I will choose a word and offer a few titles that I’ve come up with containing that word in the title. Then it’s your turn to come up with book titles containing the same word, without duplication. (I would also like the author, but that is just so I can find the book if I want to read it.) Okay then? Let’s Go!

Today’s Word is: Black

I Say:
The Black Dudley Murder by Margery Allingham
Black Holes and Time Warps by Kip Thorne
Black Holes, Quasars, & the Universe by Harry Shipman
The Librarian From the Black Lagoon by Mike Thaler
Black Mutiny by William A Owens

You Say: …

Now, to come up with something cool to do if we ever manage to get 25 titles for a word…Hmmm…

    Damn, Debbie!
We are officially at 37 titles!
    *cheers*

I guess I’ll have to revise my *do something cool for* number upwards.

    How far can we go?

  5. Debbie Says:

I’m still protesting that we get nothing cool for making the 25. Come up with a new number and a “something cool” soon!

  6. Elisa Says:

Your wish and all of that. The challenge begins on Monday.

  7. Dianne Says:

Well, many of my choices are taken, but I offer the following:
Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin
    Black Coffee by Agatha Christie
The Black Book: Diary of a Teenage Stud by Jonah Black
    Black Pearl by Scott O’Dell
Black Arrow by Robert Louis Stevenson

  8. Elisa Says:

    Dear heavens…that’s 42.

    Black Arrow! Great Choice, Mom!
